Matana is an adult female Shepherd and Labrador Retriever mix, weighing approximately 64 lbs. She is initially shy but transforms into a waggy-tailed, affectionate companion who loves leaning in for pets, truly embodying her name, 'precious gift.' Matana is part of the 'Lonely Hearts Club' due to her extended stay and requires a home without cats, ideally as the only dog, though slow introductions to other canines are possible. She is currently being treated for a mild ear infection and is on medication for anxiety, which may or may not be needed long-term in a settled home.
